SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES
As a veteran owned business, The Breen Consulting Group
holds the highest level of respect and admiration for those warriors
that have been wounded or have suffered a service related disability.
As such, in recognition of the achievements of these warriors, the Breen
Consulting Group is proud to offer free consultation services to Service
Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses.
If you are a Service Disabled Veteran interested in
providing services or products to the government, we ask that you contact
us using the response link provided. We will contact you within
24 hours and will make ourselves available for any questions you may
have.
Additionally, we hold periodic free seminars for Service
Disabled Veterans to assist them in developing plans for growth into
the government market. During these seminars, we allow time for one
on one counseling to discuss your company’s particular situation
and offerings. As these seminars depend on the level of attendance by
SDVOs, we ask that you email us as SDVO@joebreen.com
to inquire about upcoming seminars.
Opportunity –
Public Law 106-50 established a contracting goal for
Federal agencies to award 3% of prime contracts to service-disabled
veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs). In addition, large Prime Contractors
who hold contracts in value exceeding $500,000 also have mandatory SDVOSB
subcontracting goals. As a result, there are billions of contracting
dollars available to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses
who take the time and effort to develop a successful plan.
A solicitation can be set aside for SDVOSBs if the
Contracting Officer has a reasonable expectation that at least two qualified
SDVOSBs will submit offers, and that the contract will be awarded at
a fair market price. There is no dollar limit on an SDVOSB set aside.
If only one offer is received, the Contracting Officer may make an award,
if the award can be made at a fair market price. If the Contracting
Officer receives no acceptable offers from service-disabled veteran-owned
small business concerns, the service-disabled veteran-owned set-aside
shall be withdrawn and the requirement, if still valid, set aside for
small business concerns.
